My mom made me her Mini-Me
. We might have bonded too much this day. After having done a marathon of three dance classes in the morning, we had a nice salon session in the afternoon. Now, we have similar hairstyles.
This brings me back to the days when she'd dress me all up, making both my sis
and me her little Barbie dolls. She'd have identical (gasp!) dresses made for us, which we wore at the very same time (gasp again!). It wouldn't surprise me now if my sister followed suit by having her bangs cut the very same way I had mine today.
I absolutely loved spending the day with Mama
, though. Since I started working in the midshift, I really hadn't seen much of her. She'd be asleep whenever I'd arrive home from work. By the time I wake up, she'd be at work. My sister and I are very close to our parents. My mom, for one, gets mistaken as a sister for the plain and simple fact that she looks really young and is often seen hanging out with us. We wouldn't have it any other way.
We had a nice chitchat over coffee after the long day. She poured out her heart to me, while I sipped my happy drink and listened attentively. I, on the other hand, did not have anything at all to rant or rave about. I guess that was for the best since she just really needed someone to listen. I'm glad that we can talk now as two adults, and that she sees me as a person to look to for support and perhaps some advice.
I see myself in her. If I become even half the woman she is, I'd be proud. Maybe I really am her in the making--for lack of a better term, her "Mini-me" indeed. ^v^

My Adult Letter to Santa
How cute of my boss in the UK to send us all this activity to do for our last workday before Christmas. Disclaimer before anything else: My apologies go out to all my friends who are especially mentioned here. I didn't know it would turn out like it did!
It's really hillarious. If you wanna write your own letter to Santa, click away here
. If you don't like spoilers, do NOT read further until you finish the activity yourself.
If you're done, here's MY adult letter to Santa:Santa Claus
North Pole, Earth
I have been a good Girl.
It really wasn't my fault what happened at Vanessa's Office party. It was Ellaine who spiked the punch with too much Black Forrest Mocha Ice-Blended. I can't help it if I drank 7 glasses. It was so good---smelled and tasted just like citrus.
I thought it was funny when I put Marco's Bikini on my head and danced the Hip Hop on the bean bag while singing `Heaven Only Knows'. I didn't mean to break Vanessa's mobile phone and don't know why Vanessa would accuse me of libel.
I don't remember calling Netch's wife a brilliant turkey---even though she looked like one with apple green eye shadow and pastel pink lipstick!
And when I threw up on Trixie's husband's eyes, it was only because I ate too much of that Salmon Sashimi.
After all that fun, I admit I was a little tired. So I fell asleep on my way home and drove my silver jaguar through my neighbor's kitchen. I don't think that was any reason for my neighbor to call me a spectacular dog and have me arrested for stalking!
So, Santa...here I sit in my jail cell on Christmas Eve, all awesome and queer. And I'm really not to blame for any of this melancholic stuff. Please bring me what I want the most---bail money!
Sincerely and outrageously yours,
Louise (Really a nice Girl!)
P.S. It's only 11 bucks!
Happy Holidays to all!
By the way, here are my new team mates, Ant and Love. We're cam whores, yes we are!

Bum for a day
This week marks the beginning of yet another stage in my life. But before I get all dramatic, let me just say that it was kind of addicting to be a bum for a day. So sad that I only get one day of rest. I doubt I spent it well though.
I had more than enough time to kill early in the morning. Having attended our 6:30 am Hip Hop class left me with up and about with nothing on my agenda but bum and wait for my scheduled exit interview.
Oh, what boredom can do! Vanity shots galore. I'm just too embarrassed to post all twenty something of my snapshots.
I stayed there, took advantage of the free coffee and planned my day.
So, after the customary Coffee Bean
fix, I did some Christmas shopping for my mom, and headed straight for the interview at the office (my ex-office now). It went well. Enough said. The difficult part was turning my tasks over to my colleagues. I stayed an additional two hours, so it was also as if I reported for work. I wouldn't complain, though, because I wanted to make the most of the remaining minutes I had there. My supervisor noticed I was getting teary-eyed as I was wrapping up, and she said, "Nakikita ko na mga mata mo kaya lumalayo na ako sa iyo!
" (I can see you tearing up, so I'd best avoid you so I won't cry myself). I was so emotional. Too emotional I feel embarrassed just remembering. So, I said my goodbyes and left in such a rush because I was turning into my usual crybaby self
I'm moving on and looking forward to a fresh start at my new job. I'll be leaving a great set of people behind, that's for sure. But I have no doubts that I can also establish meaningful friendships as I embark on a new stage in my life.

Depressant and Stimulant night
I've recently been trying to make the most of all the weeknights I have left before I start my new job. Once I begin working the midshift, I'm going to have to say "bye bye" to night outs with friends, dinner at home with my family, and also my precious early bedtime (usually around 10:00 pm).
So, since Ellaine's
cousin, John, will be leaving for Singapore pretty soon, I grabbed the opportunity to go out and frolic around Makati with my friends and sister
last Thursday night. My sis was on duty at Salamin's
album launch at 6 Underground.
We decided to grab some grub and ended up eating at this dingy-looking restaurant nearby. Dingy or not, the food was excellent! I'd go back there any day. However, it was also there that I got not just tipsy but intoxicated with 6 servings of frozen lemon margarita. I drank all that in just a matter of a few minutes because I was thirsty and there was no readily accessible drinking water. So much for my justification, huh?
Thank goodness I was with people I could trust, although they just kept laughing at me for being the loud, cocky dork that I am whenever I have a little teeh many martoonis! *hick* And as it happens, my sister was the only one who didn't touch the alcohol, so I'm hoping she didn't allow me to make too much of a fool out of myself.
Lots of water and bathroom trips later, we cap the night off with coffee. Though we felt stuffed silly with all the drinks and pulutan, we still went on ahead and ordered drinks like crazy at Starbucks
in order to finally claim our Christmas planners. What dorks we were.
We got home pretty darn late for a weeknight. Or should I say early in the morning. I woke up with a headache and with no appetite. I felt grumpy and anti-social the rest of the following day. Maybe we should have just stuck to our traditional dinner and coffee routine.
